Reinforced Anion Conductive Membranes

PNB(TM) Membranes are robust, mechanically reinforced anion exchange membranes (AEM) manufactured with PFAS-free polynorbornene ion-conductive polymer. The mechanical reinforcement makes the membranes tough, easy-to-handle and suitable for pressurized systems. The ion-conducting portion of the PNBTM Membrane is a functionalized norbornene chemistry which is the highest anion conductivity, chemically and mechanically stable polymer made. The PNB(TM)-Rxx series Membrane has an ion exchange capacit

Random Copolymers for Membranes

The GT75 polymer for membrane fabrication is a dry powder with 75 mole% ion conductive monomers. The nominal ion exchange capacity is 3.5 meq/g.

$20/g

Soluble in a variety of solvents including toluene and tetrahydrofuran, the polymer is in the bromo alkyl norbornene form and can be converted into tethered cation (e.g., trimethyl ammonium head group with mobile anion) by soaking in a tertiary amine (e.g., trimethyl amine).

Minimum 60 day lead time. Lead times may vary.

AEM Self-Adhesive Ionomer

The oxygen (OER) and hydrogen electrode (HER) PNB(TM) ionomers are a two-part systems. A sufficient quantity of Part B hardener for each ionomer is supplied with the purchase of PNB(TM) Ionomer. The PNB(TM)-HER PNB(TM-OER ionomers are solid polymers which can dissolve in the electrode ink or can be delivered as a dilute solution in solvent. Recommended fabrication procedures will be provided at time of purchase.
