Self-Adhesive Ionomers

The PNB copolymers have been specially formulated to provide self and mutual adhesion in the electrolyzer and fuel cell electrodes. The self-adhesive ionomers are especially important in water electrolysis where liquid water is converted into gas. The volumetric expansion of the liquid into gas created strong forces within the electrodes which can dislodge the catalyst particles from the metal current collector. Our self-adhesive ionomers chemically bond the catalyst to the metal current collector which ensures mechanical stability.
